The Daily Growth Notes Series: New Ways to See and Activate Growth
What if I told you that sitting right there in your networks are more growth elements, and ways to activate them, than you realize?
It might be a relationship you haven't fully explored, a talent inside your team, a technology you already have, a deep customer need you have not addressed, or an asset that you've never thought of as part of your growth strategy.
The opportunity may not be missing. You may simply not yet seeing the connections.
And that matters because sustainable growth rarely comes from one big idea. More often, it comes from noticing what is already available, connecting it in a new way, and making small moves that allow value to build.
Why I'm Writing This
I've spent more than thirty years working with businesses and people trying to grow. And I've seen something I can't unsee: smart people with good strategies and plenty of resources still struggle to make growth happen.
The problem is often not a lack of effort. It's a lack of integration.
The business and technical side of the work is managed over here. The human side is managed over there. Strategy gets developed, but something gets lost in translation as people and the daily operations are expected to make it happen. The pieces may all be there, but they aren't working together.
I began calling this pattern disintegration, and after seeing its cost again and again, I wanted to find a better way.
That better way is Integrated Growth: bringing the human and material sides of growth together, around the Core of what your business is truly about, and making that integration part of everyday work.
That's why I created these notes.
These daily knowledge and action nuggets are part of a whole system I spell out, illustrate with business stories, and make practical in my upcoming book Hidden Treasures: The Missing Mindset and Playbook for Growing Business and Human Excellence (working title).
Why a Daily Note?
I don't believe growth happens only in big strategy meetings, big transformation offices, or through big technologies.
Growth takes hold in the everyday life and work of the business: in the questions you ask, the people you call, the connections you notice, or the small experiments you try.
So each letter will be short, providing: One thing to think about. One small act to try. Something you can use immediately and return to whenever you need it.
From time to time, I'll also share practical tools focused on specific essentials of growth.
And because this is a letter, I hope it becomes a conversation. Write back. Tell me what you're seeing, trying, learning, or struggling with. Your questions will help shape what comes next.
Where We'll Begin
Our first cycle will take us through the three intertwined Ways of the Third Angle Integrated Growth Model™:
The Way of Seeing, noticing the value and potential already in your networks. The Way of Weaving, linking people and material resources with each other so they grow together. And linking the old and the new. The way of Embodying, making it all a practice you keep and use with consistency.
Your greatest innovation and growth move is likely already inside your networks. Let’s go and find it and put it into play, one day at a time.
