Alan has led over 30 growth, commercial due diligence, and go-to-market engagements for clients across industry verticals with a track record of developing value creation strategies that drive sustainable and profitable growth. Alan’s background includes extensive cross-functional collaboration and team leadership with Herbst Lazar & Bell (HLB), an award-winning Chicago innovation and new product design & development firm ranked consistently by Business Week as a Top 10 innovation consultancy.
He also has extensive experience supporting the development and growth of private equity backed organizations including PMO roles where he led growth and EBITDA improvement through acquisition and integration initiatives, working closely with PE sponsors and management teams to achieve operational and financial objectives.
Alan earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and MMM (Manufacturing) from Northwestern University.
In his free time, Alan is passionate about travel and social impact opportunities. Alan led a diverse international team over a three-year period in Bhutan to standup the Kingdom’s first self-sustaining social enterprise dedicated to helping the bottom of the pyramid. Alan is also an avid sportsman and enjoys tennis, racquetball, biking and a wide range of outdoor activities.
